I wanted to thank you for the delightful experience at War Eagle cavern over the Labor Day weekend. My friend and I arrived late and asked if ther was another tour. The gentleman said yes, so we bought two tickets and took off to meet our guide. I believe his name was Bob, and he works during the week repairing refrigerators. When we came out of the cave, everything was closed. He had stayed to do the tour just for us. That is service above and beyond the call of duty and a rare find these days. It was a wonderful experience, the best of our whole trip. I posted yur brochure on the bulletin board in the office kitchen (where I know everyone will see it!) and I've recommended you to everyone in the office! I work for an environmental engineering firm, and geologists make up about half our staff. Caves always put a smile on their faces!

Thank you again for a great cave experience!

Construction Project 2013!

The largest excavation project started in October of 2012 when we drilled, blasted, and removed over 300 tons of rock from nearly a half mile inside the cavern. Over the next two months, our crew doubled the size of the rimstone dam waterfall room and changed what was only a small crawlway to a 7-ft high hallway leading to a "Mirror Lake" and views of numerous passageways beyond. We blasted through several veins of Arkansas Quartz Crystal, creating an incredible sparkling effect along the walls of the passageway. We also found veins of pyrite, zinc, lead, and numerous other interesting minerals

The crew spread over 30,000 pounds of cement to create a wide, easy walkway alongside the stream that flows throughout the cavern. We are using 12-volt LED lighting throughout, the first lighting project underground.
