Thanks for the tour of your cavern. We enjoyed it so much - our two grandsons can't stop talking avout the cavern and all the bats! Your hospitality was much appreciated!

My 8 year old daughter and I visited last weekend, and I just wanted to drop you a note to thank you for a wonderful time. The guide (Curtis?) was so very nice to my little girl. We both enjoyed the tour (and panning for gemstones) so much. I recommend War Eagle Cavern to all my friends!

Our Tours--no reservations necessary

Our guided tours begin just outside the trading post. Take a leisurely stroll along the bluff of Beaver Lake to “Eagle Point”, our 40 foot high lookout over our private cove. Following the ancient path down the hill, the guide explains the history of War Eagle, and how Beaver Lake came to be.

The spectacular natural entrance of War Eagle Cavern sits in a boxed canyon at the end of Devil's Gap. The cavern's waters run from deep inside the mountain and pour into Beaver Lake - sometimes in great torrents, sometimes in calm trickles, depending on the local rainfall.

Following the easy, wide open pathways (NO STAIRS) along the edges of the stream flowing throughout the cavern, our knowledgeable guides lead the way through huge rooms, explaining the incredible “domes” and other formations and relating entertaining stories of warriors, draft-dodgers, robbers, moonshiners, squatters and partiers who used the cavern over the years.

Heading into the depths of War Eagle Cavern ...

The half-mile tour climaxes with an incredible view of the waterfall in the newly expanded rimstone dam room. The Crystal Hallway leads to Mirror Lake and the passages beyond.

The stroll back to the gift shop after the tour includes feeding the fish at the boat dock and exploring the woods along short nature paths to spectacular scenic views in a secluded park-like setting.

Tour Length - Approximately one hour, walking (we stroll, actually) just about one-mile.
Tours leave approximately on the hour and/or half-hour.
Strollers and well behaved dogs on a leash are welcome.
